The First

Over the weekend I had my very first photography gig, in fact, I had two!  The whole time I was shooting I kept wanting to pinch myself, trying not act too giddy, or smile too big...I was ecstatic to be there. Over the last two years I have been behind the lens often, but hardly for anyone other than me, and my babes. But this, I've been wanting to do THIS! And seemingly overnight it all just fell into place. From being able to upgrade to professional camera, and finally feeling more confident to claim this name and passion, I received exactly what I have been asking for, without even promoting myself or letting anyone know how much I desired this. My dearest friend, and soul sister asked me to capture her son Ryu and their sweet little family in Seattle. I was a little nervous being as it was the first time I found myself holding a really nice camera with really big expectations for myself. (I am not one to thrive under pressure.) But, I soon realized I was the only one putting pressure on myself, and so I let go, and tuned into to all the special, candid moments that naturally happen between a mama and her babe, and a new-ish family of three. I am still so honored that I got to be the one to capture their beauty. They are a huge part of my heart, forever and always. Here are some of my favorites...
